Upcoming Programs
Sunday, August 28, 2011, 10:00 a.m. "Water Ceremony," presented by Penny Eiler.
What body of water did you experience during your travels this summer? What does this water mean to you?

Regardless of whether you collected a sample of the water, you won’t want to miss Prairie’s customary beginning-of-the-church year “Water Ceremony.” Come prepared to say a few sentences about what your water represents for you and to listen to how others have renewed themselves.

Leader Penny Eiler will have a surprise especially for the kids during this intergenerational service.
Sunday, September 4, 2011, 10:00 a.m. A workers' rights presentation by a representative from the Interfaith Coalition of Worker Justice.

Mini-retreat October 15 - Since we are moving our annual retreat from the fall to the spring, we are planning a one-day retreat at Prairie this fall, for this transition year.  It will be similar to our longer retreats but it will consist of just one very full Saturday, no overnights.  The Arboretum and Marlborough Park will be used for outdoor activities like nature walks and active games.  Prairie meeting rooms will be used for discussion groups and crafts.  There will be child care providers on hand for the very youngest among us.  If you have an idea for a group activity you would like to lead, or if you would like to help with the general planning, please contact Erin Bosch.  There will be a Talent Show, so be thinking of what you might like to perform!
