Upcoming Programs
Sunday,
March 6, 2011, 2010, 10:00 am: "Interrelationship
of Sikhism and Nature,"
presented by Dr. Satwant Dhillon.
This is the fourth installment in the lay series: How the world's
religions use their beliefs and practices to care for our environment.
A progressive religion when it was founded over 500 years ago, the Sikh
religion today is the world’s 5th largest religion. It traces its
roots to northern India and espouses truth and egalitarianism. Dr.
Dhillon is a practicing Sikh, and has worked as a board-certified
gynecologist for nineteen years. He is currently based in Fort Atkinson
at Fort Healthcare.
Sunday,
March 13, 2011, 10:00 am:
"The Ground of Being," presented by Rev. Jane Esbensen.
Who are we as a UU congregation, why do we exist, what is our vision,
and how do we get there? As we look to the future of Prairie, it is
with a broad eye cast to the future. But what about now? What about
here? What about us? Today's service will be a reflection piece on
identity.
Sunday,
March 20, 2011, 10:00 am: "200
Years of Universalism," presented by Barbara Park. This
music-intensive service will take us through 200 years of Universalist
history, led by long time Prairie member, music director, and
Universalist Barbara Park. Come prepared to sing!
